NEXT PROJECTS BY PRINCE OTU. 
Key Highlights from 3rd Cross River State Executive Council Session in Calabar, March 20th, 2024
1. Approval of 108 Units of 3-Wheel Agriculture Tractors: Exco greenlights procurement to support small-holder farmers, enhancing job creation and food security efforts.
2. Draft Executive Bills: Exco approves bills addressing security trust fund amendment, climate change mainstreaming, and establishment of the Green Economy Commission, highlighting the state’s commitment to environmental sustainability and security enhancement.
3. Mechanized Agriculture Boost: Commissioner of Agriculture’s request for tractor procurement to boost mechanized agriculture in the state gains Exco approval, with expected benefits for 1,080 direct jobs and improved livelihoods for rural households.
4. Infrastructure and Service Upgrades: Exco grants approvals for upgrade works at Ikom General Hospital, completion of Local Government Service Commission headquarters, construction of Ugep road network, and intervention in KADA cinema restoration, emphasizing the government’s focus on infrastructure development.
5. Electrical Infrastructure Rehabilitation: Exco gives nod to funds for transformer purchase and Odukpani, Akamkpa electrification network rehabilitation, ensuring improved energy access across the state.
6. Land Development and Economic Revival: Exco approves land development services by NAMEL and investor interest for Obudu Ranch Resort dairy farm revival, showcasing efforts towards economic diversification and development.
7. 3D Digital Survey: Exco greenlights 3D digital survey of Obudu Ranch Resort, aligning with the state’s commitment to modernization and tourism development.
8. ⁠Council Chairman inaugurates additional 3 members into the State Executive Council.
