JAMB Uncovers Over 1,600 Fake A’level Results in 2023 Direct Entry Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed a significant discovery of more than 1,665 fake A’level results during the 2023 Direct Entry (DE) registration process. The alarming revelation was disclosed by the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, during a meeting with the leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) in Abuja.Prof. Oloyede highlighted that the verification of A’level results was prompted by widespread corruption within the admission system, with the aim of restoring integrity to the process. Out of the total figure, 397 fraudulent results were traced back to Colleges of Education, 453 to University diplomas, and the remainder to various other A’level certificates.Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, Prof. Oloyede stressed the importance of preserving the integrity of A’level certificates, which serve as crucial documents for securing admissions.
