In a proud moment for Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), the institution and its Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, have been honored with the “Excellence in Professional Compliance” award by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). The accolade was presented during NIPR’s 60th Anniversary celebration on June 27, 2024.
Hon. Comrade Ezehiri Josephat Chinonye, known as Apostle COOU and serving as the SUG Attorney General, extended his heartfelt congratulations to COOU and Professor Omenugha. He expressed deep gratitude for the Acting Vice Chancellor’s leadership and commitment, which he credited as pivotal in earning this prestigious recognition.
“She has demonstrated not only the qualities of a leader but also those of a nurturing figure who prioritizes the needs of the university,” said Apostle COOU. “Her love, innovative thinking, strength, and resilience have significantly contributed to the growth and development of COOU since her first day in office.”
Apostle COOU also extended his appreciation to the State Governor of Anambra, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for appointing Professor Omenugha and allowing her to serve COOU. He highlighted her continuous efforts towards the university’s advancement, celebrating this victory as a milestone for both COOU and Anambra State.
