Angelina Jolie’s Shocking Revelation: Actress Once Hired Hitman Amid Mental Health Struggles

Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie, now 49, has disclosed a harrowing chapter of her life, revealing that she once hired a hitman to kill her during a period of severe suicidal thoughts when she was 22.

In a recent candid interview, Jolie shared that she struggled immensely with her mental health in her early twenties, reaching a point where she believed the only solution was to end her life. To spare her family and friends the guilt of her suicide, she devised a plan that would make her death appear as a robbery.

“This is going to sound insane, but there was a time I was going to hire somebody to kill me,” Jolie told IMDB, shedding light on her desperate state of mind. She further elaborated in a 2003 interview with The Face magazine, stating, “They’re not that hard to find in New York. I thought it would be easier for those around me to accept my death if it looked like a murder rather than suicide.”

Jolie even went as far as planning the financial aspects to avoid suspicion, intending to withdraw money incrementally to cover the hitman’s fee. Remarkably, the hired man showed compassion and asked her to reconsider, suggesting she think it over for two months. This period became a turning point for Jolie, leading her to abandon the plan and “stick it out.”

Jolie’s revelations underscore the intense struggles with mental health she faced and highlight the importance of compassion and intervention in moments of despair.
