Best Vacation Hub: Meliá Unveils First Meliá Collection Hotel in Vietnam

Meliá Hotels International has introduced the Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat as its first Meliá Collection hotel in Vietnam. Nestled in the scenic Ba Vi National Park, this luxurious 55-room and villa property embodies the unique character and commitment to sustainability that defines The Meliá Collection.

The official name change to Meliá Ba Vi Mountain, Member of Meliá Collection, will occur in May 2025 following an agreement signed earlier this year. Known for its fusion of French colonial and Vietnamese village architecture, the resort is designed to offer an authentic, nature-immersed experience.

Mr. Luong Ngoc Anh, owner of Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat, emphasized the resort’s dedication to preserving natural and cultural heritage. “We aim to provide guests with harmonious experiences that connect past and present, all while promoting sustainable development,” he said.

Plans are underway to enhance the resort’s amenities, including its culinary offerings and wellness activities. Exclusive guest experiences will range from historical tours and forest bathing sessions to workshops on traditional dyeing techniques used by local ethnic communities.

Gabriel Escarrer, Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, noted that The Meliá Collection attracts travelers seeking genuine connections with their destinations. The Collection includes distinguished properties worldwide, such as the Meliá Serengeti Lodge in Tanzania and Hotel Villa Marquis in Paris.

As Meliá Hotels International continues to expand its portfolio, new openings are anticipated in various global locations, including Milan, Albania, China, and Cuba. The company, founded in 1956, remains a leader in sustainable and experiential luxury travel.
