Breaking News: Public Alert Issued as Hyena Escapes from Jos Wildlife Park

 

The Plateau State Tourism Corporation (PSTC) has reported that a hyena has escaped from its enclosure at the Jos Wildlife Park. This announcement was made on Monday, July 8, 2024, following the discovery of the missing animal.

Jos Wildlife Park, a premier tourist destination in Plateau known for its conservation efforts, is now focused on ensuring public safety and recapturing the hyena. The park’s management emphasized the importance of public vigilance and cooperation during this period.

“Our team of Game-guards and Park-rangers, aided by drone technology, is actively tracking the hyena,” stated the PSTC. “We are committed to locating the animal and returning it to its enclosure as soon as possible.”

Residents are advised to remain calm, avoid approaching the hyena if spotted, and promptly notify park authorities at 09026927620 or 09131000945.

“We appreciate your cooperation and will provide updates as the situation progresses,” the PSTC concluded.
