Manchester City kicked off their US preseason tour with a surprising 4-3 loss to Celtic, despite fielding star players like Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish.
Celtic’s Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn opened the scoring with a well-executed team goal. City’s Oscar Bobb equalized, but Kuhn and Kyogo Furuhashi struck again late in the first half, giving Celtic a 3-1 lead at the break.
Máximo Perrone narrowed the gap for City seconds into the second half, followed by Haaland’s equalizer. However, substitute Luis Palma secured Celtic’s victory with the final goal of the match.
