Former Germany international Didi Hamann has forecasted that Manchester United will finish ahead of Arsenal in the upcoming Premier League season.
Despite finishing eighth last season, eight points short of a top-four spot and trailing champions Manchester City by 31 points, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United secured a Europa League place by defeating City in the FA Cup final.
Hamann expressed confidence in United’s potential to surpass the Gunners, who were last season’s runners-up, if they successfully complete their anticipated signings.
“It’s hard not to see Manchester City where they always are [at the top of the Premier League],” Hamann stated in an interview with TopOffshoreSportsBooks. “I’m not certain about Arsenal because they have missed their chances. I would go for Manchester City, Manchester United – if they make the signings they are linked with – then Arsenal in third and Liverpool in fourth.”
