Spain defender Laia Aleixandri has affirmed her team’s readiness for the Group C showdown with Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes today.
The world champions overcame Japan with a 2-1 victory in their opening match on Thursday. A win against the Super Falcons would secure Spain’s progression to the knockout stage.
Aleixandri expressed confidence in her team’s preparation for the match. “Every game in the Olympics is a battle, but we anticipate a very physical match against Nigeria. We are prepared,” she told fifa.com.
