Sport News: Arsenal Set to Announce Third Summer Transfer as Ajax Goalkeeper Arrives for Medical

Arsenal are on the verge of confirming their third goalkeeping transfer this summer, as Ajax’s Tommy Setford flies in for a medical examination. This imminent signing, as reported by football.london, will add to Arsenal’s recent goalkeeping acquisitions, following Lucas Nygaard and David Raya.

Setford’s arrival comes after Arsenal decided not to renew contracts for several goalkeepers, including Noah Cooper, Ovie Ejeheri, Hubert Graczyk, James Hillson, and Arthur Okonkwo, who all left the club at the end of last month. Meanwhile, Karl Hein’s contract has been extended.

David Raya, who joined Arsenal on loan from Brentford last season, saw his move become permanent this summer with the club activating the £27 million buy clause. Lucas Nygaard impressed during a trial after leaving Nordsjaelland in the winter, securing his place in the squad.

Arsenal fans eagerly await the official announcement of Setford’s signing as the club continues to bolster its goalkeeping options for the upcoming season.
