Ten Hag Predicts Grueling Season Ahead for Manchester United

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has declared the upcoming Premier League season a test of endurance, emphasizing it will be the “survival of the fittest.”

After missing out on a top-four finish last season, the Red Devils managed to secure the FA Cup by defeating Manchester City.

In preparation for the new season, Ten Hag has reinforced the squad by signing Lenny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee. Both newcomers are expected to feature in the pre-season friendly against Arsenal on Sunday morning.

“We are aware that injuries make us vulnerable, and we must work to minimize them. First, by reducing the number of injuries and, second, by ensuring our squad has sufficient depth,” Ten Hag explained.

“Our squad quality is evident, but we need to improve our depth. This season will indeed be a survival of the fittest. We have shown we can defeat top teams not just once, but twice. Other matches were also very competitive.

“Our main challenge now is to achieve this level of performance consistently, and that is what we are working towards,” Ten Hag stated during a pre-match press conference.
