An American woman, Rissa, reported that she was shot by a white man after she declined to give him her phone number. The incident allegedly took place two months ago at a gas station in Houston.
In a social media post dated Saturday, July 13, Rissa warned other women to be cautious. “ATTENTION LADIES!! I was shot almost 2 months ago at a gas station in Houston because a man asked for my number & I told him no!!! PSA ladies always give out a fake number,” she wrote.
Rissa recounted the events, stating that the man, accompanied by two friends, approached her while she was pumping gas. After she refused his request for her number, the group began to laugh, and the man, seemingly embarrassed, drew a gun and shot her.
Local authorities are investigating the incident, and Rissa’s post has sparked a conversation about safety and harassment.
