#Endbadgovernance: DJ Switch Challenges Wike and Dokubo Amid Nationwide Hunger Protests

Nigerian DJ and activist, Obianuju Catherine, popularly known as DJ Switch, has publicly challenged Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo amidst the ongoing ‘EndBadGovernance’ protests.

The 10-day hunger protests, which began on August 1, 2024, aim to highlight Nigeria’s economic difficulties. Asari Dokubo had warned against bringing the protests to his region, claiming they do not address local issues, while Minister Wike declared Abuja off-limits for the demonstrations and expressed concerns about potential property damage.

In response, DJ Switch, known for her role in the 2020 EndSARS protests, dared both men to confront the protesters publicly if they were not afraid. She emphasized that the solution to hunger is food, not threats or violence.

“The only thing that can stop HUNGER is FOOD! Not guns, teargas, or threats from fat globs like Asari Dokubo and chicken feed Wike! I wonder why they are hiding now. Come outside let them eat you raw,” DJ Switch wrote on her social media.
