Renowned activist Omoyele Sowore called on Christians to mobilize their church members for the nationwide protest scheduled for August 1. In a post on his X page, Sowore asserted that God will respond to President Bola Tinubu’s previous prayers for a revolution on that date.
Sowore’s appeal was made on the last Sunday before the #DaysOfRage #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria revolt, urging Christians to rally their fellow congregants, family, and friends. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming protest, suggesting it was a divine answer to Tinubu’s call for change.
In his message, Sowore stated: “Today is the last Sunday before the August 1st #DaysOfRage #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria revolt; mobilize your fellow church members, family and friends if your priest or pastor is not doing so. Tell them God that has answered the prayer of @officialabat the REVOLUTION he asked for has arrived at his doorsteps. #NoGoingBack #RevolutionNow.”
Sowore had earlier announced the nationwide protest against Tinubu’s administration, tagged “EndBadGovernanceInNigeria,” highlighting the severe hardships faced by Nigerians. Despite warnings from the Federal government and some states, Sowore confirmed that the protest would proceed as planned.
