Napoli assistant coach Cristian Stellini has revealed the qualities the club is seeking in a successor to striker Victor Osimhen. The Partenopei are aiming to find a forward with similar attributes to Osimhen, who is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer.
Osimhen, a standout player for Napoli, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with PSG, including a lucrative contract worth €14 million per season. Negotiations between PSG and Napoli are said to be progressing well.
Stellini emphasized the need for a physically strong attacker to fill Osimhen’s shoes. “For Osimhen’s succession, I would choose an attacker with a strong physical construction, just like Victor,” Stellini told Calcio Mercato. “And someone who has multiple weapons, such as the ability to score goals and enhance the team’s overall attack by supporting teammates.”
The search for Osimhen’s replacement is a high priority for Napoli as they prepare for the upcoming season without their star forward.
