Cristiano Ronaldo clocked another historic milestone to his illustrious career, scoring his 900th career goal during Portugal’s 2-1 win over Croatia in the Nations League.
The 39-year-old became the first player in history to reach this hight.
Ronaldo’s goal, a well-timed volley from Nuno Mendes’ cross in the 34th minute, helped secure Portugal’s win and added to his tally of 131 goals for his country.
Speaking after the match, Ronaldo expressed pride in his new achievement.
“900 goals seems like any other milestone, but only I know how hard it is to work every day to score your 900th goal.
“I don’t break records records—they haunt me,” he added.
