Law Enforcement Uncovers Potential Explosive Plot by Trump Rally Shooter’s Family

Investigators Reveal Over 20 Guns Registered to Shooter’s Father

Law enforcement officials have discovered that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the Trump rally shooter, has over 20 guns registered to his father, according to sources who spoke to CNN. All the firearms were legally purchased.

During a search of Crooks’ body, investigators found a transmitter, according to one source.

A subsequent search of Crooks’ Hyundai Sedan, parked at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, uncovered a receiver connected to wires leading into a metal box containing possible explosives in the trunk.

Authorities are currently investigating whether the remote control connected to the potential explosive device in Crooks’ car was part of a larger assassination plot.

One theory being examined is that Crooks intended to detonate the explosives as a distraction, drawing attention and security away from his firing position and towards the explosion. Law enforcement sources suggest that Crooks’ plan may have been hastily executed after being detected by citizens and confronted by a local police officer while trying to reach a rooftop.
