Just in: Daniel Bwala Announces Departure from PDP, Considers Return to APC

Daniel Bwala, a well-known lawyer and policy analyst, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is on the verge of rejoining the All Progressives Congress (APC).

During an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Bwala, who previously served as a spokesman for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, declared, “I am not a member of the PDP. Yes, I have left the PDP.”

When asked about his potential return to the APC, Bwala stated, “I am very close” to rejoining the ruling party, which he had previously departed. His move has been anticipated by many observers, noting his shifting political allegiances.

Bwala, who was a vocal critic of President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 election campaign, has since shown support for the president’s policies. Earlier this year, he met President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and later in Paris, urging Nigerians to support the current administration. He emphasized that he had informed Atiku Abubakar of these visits.

Addressing speculations, Bwala denied that his actions were motivated by a desire for a government appointment.
