AFCON 2023: APC Youth Leader to organise party for Super Eagles at Abuja’s party secretariat
The National Youth Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dayo Israel, has organised a viewing party for the Super Eagles in their semifinal game against South Africa in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
In preparation for the event, Israel procured a live cow and adorned it with Nigerian and APC colours. The viewing party according to him, aims to bring together APC youths and non-members based in Abuja to support the Nigerian team.
In a post on his X account on Tuesday, Isreal announced the party would be held at the APC national secretariat in Abuja from 4 p.m. on Wednesday ahead of the game, which kicks off at 6 p.m.
He wrote, "Join us at the special #AFCON2024 Semi-Final Match Watch Party organised by apcng youthwing.
“On weds 7th February. Everyone is invited and it’s free entry/open to all Nigerians, especially the Youth. Let’s support our own team irrespective of our party or political divide. Red Carpet is 4pm and the live Match is 6 pm at APC National Secretariat, Wuse, Abuja. Lots of Drinks, Asun and Suya for everyone. God bless our Super Eagles. CommunityActionThroughSport APCCATS.”
Israel also shared a video clip on his X account, showcasing the cow that will be used for barbecue at the soccer watch party.
