In a heated marital conflict, Nigerian footballer Olanrewaju Kayode and his estranged wife, Ezinne Kayode, are embroiled in a legal battle over the paternity of their three sons. Ezinne has demanded DNA tests for Jason, Jayden, and Jamin, following Olanrewaju's alleged claims of possessing negative DNA results, reports Elliptical News.
The dispute took a public turn when Ezinne, angered by the viral spread of Kayode’s allegations on social media, sought a legal disclaimer. She provided a letter from her legal representatives, dated May 24, 2024, addressed to Kayode at his residence in Lekki, Lagos. The letter accuses Kayode of disseminating false DNA test results to malign her reputation and cause harm to their children.
The letter states, "Our client believes these baseless allegations were maliciously planted by you to tarnish her reputation and cause irreparable harm to the innocent children."
The allegations include accusations of infidelity with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, stealing Kayode’s two Mercedes SUVs to fund the pastor’s lifestyle, and abducting their three sons. Ezinne has vehemently denied these accusations in an Instagram post, challenging Kayode to release the DNA results and disclose the hospital where the tests were conducted.
Ezinne wrote, "I am tired of this man’s nonsense, and it has to stop now. I knew he was not mentally stable when he pulled out a knife on me some months ago, but ruining the lives of innocent kids is too far."
She continued, "I have kept quiet on all the baseless, childish, and false rumors you have spread. But involving innocent children is unacceptable. I have never sold any of my properties or cars to support any pastor, bishop, or imam."
Describing her marriage as "hell on earth," Ezinne urged other women in similar situations to leave abusive relationships. She shared, "I pray this ordeal is over soon. If your story is similar to mine, run away from that man and leave that marriage. You are not stuck!"
In another post, she demanded Kayode to stop involving their children in his falsehoods and provide the alleged DNA results and hospital information. She also accused him of traumatizing their children by detaining them in DSS custody.
