Chief Bisi Akande, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured Nigerians that the nation will thrive under President Bola Tinubu despite current challenges. Speaking at a lecture organized by the Arewa Think Tank to mark Tinubu's first year in office, Akande emphasized that Nigeria remains united and strong.
The event, themed "Our Diversity, Our Strength," saw attendance from prominent figures including Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State.
Akande highlighted that under Tinubu's leadership, Nigeria will continue to advance in peace, development, and prosperity. He urged Nigerians to avoid divisive tendencies and reflect on the country's political history, emphasizing the importance of unity.
Governor Uba Sani echoed Akande's sentiments, stating that unity is crucial for achieving peace and progress. He acknowledged the hardships caused by recent policy changes, such as the removal of the oil subsidy, but insisted that Tinubu has Nigeria's best interests at heart.
Governor Hyacinth Alia, serving as a guest lecturer, stressed that Nigeria's diversity should be a source of strength. He warned that Nigeria's failure would negatively impact the entire African continent and praised Tinubu's efforts to foster unity and progress in various sectors.
The event, convened by Muhammad Yakubu of the Arewa Think Tank, aimed to reinforce the "Renewed Hope Agenda" of President Tinubu's administration.
