According to reports from Elliptical News, Timileyi was discovered in possession of the stolen phone, which led to his attackers forcibly shaving his hair and subjecting him to continuous beating from Friday evening until Saturday morning. Videos circulating online depict the horrifying incident, showing Timileyi being assaulted with sticks while on the hostel floor.
In response to the incident, Ajayi Crowther University announced the expulsion of students involved and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards anti-social behavior.
