The family of Nick Imudia, the former CEO of e-commerce giant Konga, has firmly denied reports that he died by suicide. They assert that investigations are ongoing and that suicide has been ruled out as the cause of death.
In a statement released by Dr. Anthony N. Imudia, the family addressed allegations that Imudia had given instructions to his brother and daughter before his death. They criticized the media for prematurely reporting the cause of death while the family was still at the hospital attempting to revive him. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police is also investigating the sudden death.
The family emphasized that Imudia showed no signs of stress or depression and called the media’s portrayal of his death suspicious. They highlighted Imudia’s vibrant personality and successful career, noting his role as Group CEO of D.light International and his previous leadership positions with Nokia and Konga Nigeria.
The family requests privacy to grieve and urges the public to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors about the circumstances of Imudia’s death.
