Just in: Christ Embassy to Construct Larger Church Following Fire, Says Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, widely known as Christ Embassy, has announced plans to build a larger church following the recent fire incident at the church’s headquarters. During a live Sunday service at the church's campground in Asese, Ogun State, Oyakhilome described the fire not as an accident, but as an opportunity for greater developments.

ELLIPTICAL NEWS previously reported that the church headquarters, located in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State, was engulfed in flames on Sunday morning. Multiple videos of the blaze were shared on social media platform X.com.

Addressing the congregation, Oyakhilome remarked, "Nothing happens in the life of a child of God by accident. During the 2001 Ikeja Cantonment bombing, the building shook violently, and we feared it might collapse. I thought if it did, we would rebuild it even bigger and better. Fortunately, it remained intact, and engineers confirmed it was safe."

He continued, "Now, with this incident, we will construct a bigger, better, and more glorious church, and the devil will be defeated."

Officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene to manage the situation. Augustine, tweeting as Chief_Augustin1 on X.com, shared a video from the location, stating, "Christ Embassy Church on Billings Way, Oregun, is on fire. Serious fire is raging, and men of the Lagos State Fire Service are working hard to put it out. Thank God service hasn’t commenced fully."
