Just in: JAMB Announces Additional Exam Results and Registration Extension

In a recent development, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has unveiled an increase in exam results by 3,921 and a rescheduling of certain examinations. The announcement was made on Sunday, accompanied by the declaration that the deadline for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) registration has been extended to Monday, June 17, 2024.

Responding to escalating demand, JAMB has broadened the scope of DE registration points beyond the Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) in states experiencing heightened demand. This expansion follows persistent appeals from stakeholders and authorities for an extension, as conveyed by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin.

The extension comes with a detailed list of additional registration centers in key states like Lagos, Oyo, Kwara, and Osun, ensuring accessibility for eligible candidates. However, it's emphasized that this extension marks the final opportunity for registration, with the criteria remaining unaltered.

Additionally, in response to the circumstances surrounding the Kwasu Diploma, JAMB has outlined plans for a special registration for 3,633 prospective candidates who missed the 2024 UTME. The registration window is set to close on June 10, 2024, with 469 candidates exempted from retaking the exam if they already participated.

Furthermore, a supplementary 2024 UTME has been slated for June 22, 2024, encompassing CAILS-KWASU candidates, those under investigation, and candidates facing fingerprint verification challenges.

In parallel, JAMB has taken decisive action against examination misconduct, classifying 322 candidates accordingly. Additionally, exams have been rescheduled for 24,535 candidates due to substantial non-compliance in specific centers, with the retests also scheduled for June 22, 2024.

Moreover, JAMB has released 3,921 cleared 2024 UTME results, bringing the total tally of released results to 1,883,350. Candidates are advised to check their results promptly by utilizing the provided text message service. Those rescheduled for exams are instructed to print their notification slips from June 4, 2024.

This comprehensive update underscores JAMB's commitment to ensuring fairness, transparency, and accessibility within the examination process, while upholding standards and addressing misconduct effectively.
