Breaking News: Russia Repels 80 Ukrainian Drone Attacks, Oil Terminal Ignites

The Russian Defence Ministry reported on Monday that its air defenses successfully repelled 80 Ukrainian drone attacks across six regions.

Announcing on Telegram, the Ministry detailed that several explosions were heard in the Black Sea port city of Tuapse, where debris from an intercepted drone ignited a significant fire at an oil processing plant owned by Rosneft.

No injuries were reported, but Ukrainian media hailed the attack as a triumph for Kiev’s military intelligence, noting the facility's strategic importance to Russia's war efforts in Ukraine. This plant, including a major oil terminal, has been targeted by Ukraine before. The fire has since been extinguished by Russian authorities.

Additionally, the Ministry recorded 47 drone attacks in the southern region of Rostov and intercepted others over Crimea, annexed by Moscow in 2014. Ukraine, which has been defending against Russian invasion for over two years, has consistently targeted Russian military facilities, though the damage is reportedly minor compared to the impact of Russian attacks in Ukraine.
