Sheila Courage Addresses Marriage Breakdown with Isreal DMW
In a recent Q&A session with her friend Ginika, Sheila Courage, ex-wife of Isreal Afeare, logistics manager for singer Davido, opened up about the end of their marriage. Sheila expressed no regrets over their separation, stating she never instructed Isreal to cease working with Davido.
She clarified that she only offered suggestions without criticizing his relationship with the singer. Sheila often supported Isreal by filming his work. Reflecting on their marriage, she noted both positive and challenging moments, emphasizing she never discouraged his career choices.
"I did not criticize his relationship. I made suggestions as a wife but there was never a point where I said, 'No, don’t do this, why are you doing this?' In fact, I was behind the scenes most of the time taking pictures and doing videos because I saw him doing this and it's fine," Sheila explained.
Addressing her decision to end their marriage, Sheila mentioned, "A lot has happened. I do not regret any decision I have taken because it was all bound to happen. I believe God is in charge of all that happens in our lives, whether you see it positively or negatively. There is a master planner behind the whole thing, but I have had my moments of sadness, especially the way my friend and parents were dragged into it."
The couple, who married in October 2022, reportedly separated in September 2023. Isreal publicly announced the end of their marriage, making allegations against Sheila and her parents. Sheila revealed that her suggestion for Isreal to explore other business opportunities, considering he could not remain under his boss indefinitely, contributed to their marital issues.
Isreal also accused Sheila's friend, Ginika, of being a negative influence by accommodating Sheila after she left his house. Ginika, who participated in the Q&A, denied prior knowledge of Sheila and Isreal's marital problems, learning about them through social media. She expressed regret for housing a married woman facing marital issues instead of directing her to her parents.
