Tomilola, a Nigerian lawyer based in Canada and married to a white man, has publicly responded to a follower who posted a derogatory comment about white people on her Instagram page.
The follower had criticized white people under a maternity photo of Tomilola and her husband, labeling them as "vindictive, untrustworthy, and harboring a lot of hate and jealousy."
In an Instagram story posted on Tuesday, Tomilola addressed the issue, saying, "It's unfortunate that I even have to address this but please note that you are not allowed to put out general statements bashing white people on my page for a couple of reasons."
Tomilola emphasized the importance of rejecting hate and noted her personal connection to the white community. "It's hateful to bash an entire race of people. My husband is white, my daughter is half-white, meaning half of my family is mostly white, so I clearly don't share your views," she wrote.
