Everton Ladies have officially signed Super Falcons' star Toni Payne, according to ELLIPTICAL NEWS. The Nigerian international joins the Toffees on a free transfer after ending her six-year stint with Spanish Iberdrola side Sevilla.
The 29-year-old versatile winger is the first summer signing for Everton under manager Brian Sorensen. Payne expressed her excitement to EvertonTV, stating, "I’m thrilled to become an Everton player. Playing in the UK and in such a competitive league like the WSL has always been my dream. Everton, with its rich football history, is the perfect place for my next challenge."
Payne has been capped 21 times by Nigeria and is part of the national squad for the 2024 Olympic Games.
