Violent Protests Continue Across the UK: Police Attacked with Petrol Bombs

Violence and unrest persisted across various parts of the United Kingdom on Monday night, leading to several clashes between protesters and police. Officers attempting to control the situation were attacked in Belfast, Darlington, and Plymouth.

In Plymouth, six arrests were made, and multiple police officers sustained minor injuries amid the turmoil, according to BBC News. Protesters in South Belfast targeted riot officers with stones and petrol bombs near a supermarket that had already been set on fire over the weekend.

The unrest was partly fueled by a vigil held earlier for victims of a recent mass stabbing in Southport. To date, approximately 400 individuals have been arrested since the onset of the rioting.
